Old book, first published in 1961, but, in my opinion, still the best and most readable work on the Alamo, with some other information on Goliad and San Jacinto. I first read the old Reader's Digest condensed version, back about 1965 or so. Reread the full length version just last week, still an impressive work. Well worth looking for.

Read it on my trip. Thought well of it.
