I always thought the Stairmaster was just a waste of time, until a coworker told me that he called it the Humbler when you hit 20 minutes at level 7. He said you can really cut weight with it. I had already cut the weight, but I use it to keep it off now.
Never up the time, always up the level. It is an unforgiving beast, but that is what you need if you want to get in shape. :)
Congrats on the weight loss. It always seems easier to put it on then take it off. The walking always helps, as for being able to run better. Start off with a 15 min. mile. Then after a couple of weeks try to get a 14 min mile, and slowly work your time down. I walked with a older lady whom could do a 11min mile. We were flat out picking them up and putting them down.
