Prayers for your mother and your family.
Went through that with a former girl friend.

Alzheimer's comes in many forms and with many differences from person to person. I watched my grandmother from start to the end with it. The dementia that comes with it later is when it gets tough. My grandad has it now and it's sad for me to see. I just believe he is in his own world and he seems ok some days like that other days seems like he's remembering tough times of years long gone.

Hopefully the meds will help and I'll say a prayer for her as well.

Just a quick update, realized I haven't for a while. I made couple week long visits down last year, last one was between Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can defiantly see progression of symptoms, she defiantly has more confusion and frustration each visit. She's still doing relatively good, Dad says she does better, when her daily routine isn't effected by stress of holidays and too much company.

I think, the reason visits are hard, mom feels she has to show how good she's doing and is embarrassed when she lets others see, just how hard she struggles, with simple tasks. Dad didn't come right out and say it, but hinted pretty strong, I should try to come down, after the holidays, next year, when it's not so busy and that a few days, might be better than week long visit.

Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts, sent her way.

My thoughts and sympathy for you. Both my mom and mom-in-law suffered from this terrible disease. It's hard on us all.
All you can do is love her and remember all the good she's done for so many.
