I have been a lurker here off and on since I started reloading about a year ago. Thanks for all the information on this site. I have just inherited an AR 15 along with supplies to reload for it so I will be asking some questions about this stuff.

Ken here
Found this site from a link on go2gbo saying there were loads for 6.5 BRM here. I live in E. KY. Between Morehead and Lexington. I'm gearing up for E. A. Brown's 97d single shot that is on order. I'm a real forum greenhorn. Don't know how anything works. Want to do as told and go to live chat but don't see a tab for it... ?

I found your site and I LIKE IT! I have been shooting and loading for 50+ years. I don't know it all I like loading Black powder loads for Pop's old Colt SAA made in 1904. It took some doing slugging the chambers and getting bullets made, but It was worth it. My Bud and I both load and shoot the old single actions. Bud has a original 1875 Remington, 44-40. My Colt is 44-40. OUR Dillon SDB is set up for 44-40. We hand dip the BP in every load, and it's worth the hassle when you get the Big Blue blast of smoke. Cool!

Howdy folks,
Where do I find information about this sites icons, you know, like burning folders or the red dot beside that or the stars in the rating columns, the drop down menus and such.
This old 'greyback' has to catch up on this stuff to figure out what I'm doing wrong…or where to stay away from…oh yeah…the SOP…where's the SOP?

Burning folders are hot topics
Red dots mean you've commented on that thread
The "new" in the lil folder means new comments since you've last read that thread ( or checked the " mark all forums read " tab
The stars are what some user(s) have rated a thread, there may or may not be a tab to not allow ratings ... Been so long since I last looked ...
The drop down menus are kind of self explanatory, play with'em you can't really mess them up
Some questions have been asked and answered here in this forum

Finally found the icon explanations, drop down tab at the top ( menu ) at the bottom of the list is "help" that'll clear up some questions

Thank you fryboy, appreciate your explanations…I sorta have a fear of clicking on things I don't understand, sometimes can't get out of what I did.
I figure I better get familiar with things over here cause I think I have set a few 'pants-O-fire' :flame: over in that 'other' dialogue…might not last too long there.
Thanks Pard

PS I saw pics. of a new shop you were building for your 'brass stuffin', did you complete that? Could be I missed the later posts.

i think what you saw was cyberguy's reloading shed , i've commented on that thread a few times, last i knew he was using it but he hasnt posted much lately as sometimes life gats us all busy
as long as you're civil over there ( not sybill ) you'll be fine ermm add fairly polite to that , they've been in various states of flux since the originally owner gave control of it to his #1, a game oft played albeit silently is "guess the fed" ( or current troll, agent provocateur, closet liberal etc ) being a bigger board it has a broader spectrum of folks , I'm pretty much no one's favorite son there lolz i've also managed to not have to ignore anyone there yet ( still havent figured that out but meh )
as for the clicking on aspect , you cant break it , the very worst you can do is self delete other than that you'll only gain knowledge of how it works ( me on the other hand i have buttons that you dont so i do understand the trepidation )

Roger that fryboy…ha…just pushed the wrong button and the screen went blank on me…WTH…OK back on line.

In case you have to ignore someone over there…just ask, I teach you to do the "VooDo HuDu" to your screen and you won't be annoyed any more with any one troll.

We also have a ignore function, worse there's a tab to do so on most post and this infernal smart fone with a touch screen has inadvertantly popped it a few times on me so much so that now at least once a week I have to check the list and clear any accidentals

Hehe I see that star now! So I love to google stuff especially facts that don't seem so factual and that's
How I found this sight. I started handloaded around 1992 off and on ever since. 22-250 was my start then the .270 win. .243 win 7/08 a little bit of 308 and the onto .38spc. And .45 acp I prefer single stage presses I like to take my time and load what i need I do have a progressive Dillon for loading handgun. Weapons background is short US Army 11b bra rated light rifle. Master. Its several years old and history. I have no formal highpower experience.but I love the long shot.i hunt whitetails with bow rifle handgun and flintlock.
I work as a Pa.correctional officer.own a small farm with horses chickens dogs and cats. Married for 30 yrs with one daughter. I like to learn that's why I'm here. I can be sensitive to sarcasm and so I apologize in advance should I show it. Good to be here. one shot One miss.

Thanks a bunch for the welcome guys! I love this place already! I'm barely scratching the surface of reloading myself, started with .223 for my AR, and some .30 cal. Then moved to my hunting rifles, 30-06 first, then I plan to move to the 300WSM and 300WinMag. I'm a machinist by trade, so I love the technical aspect of it as well. I've even made some ML bullet molds for my .50 cal CVA to shoot saboted rounds with. :bulletcaster:

Hi, I found this site as I was looking for some knowledgeable info on reloading. I've had guns and have hunted for over 50 yrs. Having said that, I'm about as new to reloading as you can get. We, my wife and I, Have 7 handguns, 4 rifles, and 2 shotguns. The price and availability of ammo has brought me to this point. Thank you very much!
