I'm glad to have found the site. I was "googling" to find info on polishing media for my new vibratory polisher and HB popped up with some good info. I'm a Ham Radio Operator who is also a communications volunteer with the local Sheriff's Office. For a living, I'm a Sr. Engineer with a company that provides Satellite delivered internet services. My interest in shooting is for self-defense and competition (just getting started - IPSC mostly), and for FUN! I've met some of the nicest people I've ever known in this hobby. Thanks for having the site and allowing us to participate.

I yahoo'ed and found Handloadersbeach. I got into reloading back in the 1980 and one night all my reloading equipment was stolen and have not been reloading until late 2011. I have a Dillon 550b and I am reloading 223 and will start on 308 very soon, then 45, 38, 30-06. I hope that I can get reloading information from everyone here about different calibers and also find good companies to buy components for reloading and even learn a few tricks about proper reloading.
I am a firefighter/paramedic for the past 26 years in Missouri. Love to hunt, fish, get outdoors and stay. I look forward to talking and having fun with ya'll.

Sounds like a great idea overbore. My nephew was telling me about a "Pay it forward" at some site he goes to regularly. Apparently people list items they do not need or someone else needs. The items are free for the taking. Anyone who takes something is only asked to "pay it forward" as well. He says that it is rarely abused and seems to work out for all involved.

30 years ago I bought a Smith Model 65 from a co-worker in LA. For $ 80 more he threw in a box with his reloading gear and I've been carting it around un-opened ever since. A few weeks ago I decided to explore reloading and un-packed it, cleaned it, lubed it and set it up.

Now what...? Look on the web for some basic education of course. Everywhere I searched Handloaders Bench came up. I'm here to learn.

Thanks for providing the forum, now I'm off to study the Wall of Shame. Every forum should have one.

New member here. Senior citizen in Oregon. Found the sight by looking at hand loading and bench rest stuff.
Shoot and reload for .223 Rem., and 22/250 Rem., others in the past and hopefully in the future.
Shot a little informal bench rest (no competition) Loaded for the 6 PPC
Hope to load for the .410 shotgun, just bought a coach gun for no other reason except I liked it and have always liked the .410 and guns associated with it.

I am a police officer looking to get better at reloading. Trying to get a real accurate hunting load for my 308 win with 165 grain. I love the way my rifles shoot Federal 168 match and would love a load that comes close for white tail deer.

Morning, All. Found this group through Cast Boolits. Seems like the same sort of helpful people.

I'm 76 retired (USMC 73) civil service in '94 and now nurse cows part time.We are in central Texas.

Load for several calibers but K Hornet is my favorite in pistol and rifle.

If any one can help with 17 Hornet info it would be appreciated.

Thanks for letting me join the party!

Bill

Found a link to this site on cast boolits, looked the site over and thought it worth wile to join in.

I am a disability retired teacher and reloading is a major interest of mine, just limited by a very limited budget. A lot of the time i spend much more time reading about it than doing it but without reloading I couldn't afford to shoot at all.

Hi people, I am brand new here and this is my very first post. I may be glad I found this site and I am really looking forward to exploring he forums here. One thing i want to get out of the way right now. About me, I am not current military or ex military, I'm not an LEO or firefighter or anything govment. I have never really hunted so I am not a hunter, would like to learn about that though and I have in-laws, well one in particular, that are adept at hunting black tail and pigs here in the Northern Kalifornisatan region (see what I did there :), it's true).

I found this site whilst doing a search looking for info for doing a load development for 178 gn AMAX and IMR 4064, which I will use in my new LR-308 type gas gun that I assembled myself. I probably will describe that rifle (carbine really) here on this site at a later time, I like it a lot.
I have been reloading for a few years now, first for my 45 Colt & 44 magnum cartridges. Now that I have my .308 Winchester I have loaded maybe 400 or so rounds for it. Now I want to get better at that and find loads that my rifle likes. I have good equipment for hand loading. Honestly though it is not my equipment. It my brother in-laws and he is keeping it all here in my garage because his situation had changed and my garage is just friggen huge, perfect for this, so I am all for it for sure.
