I just came back. Great experience and, except for one day, the weather was gorgeous.
I won't discuss how poorly I shot.
I did buy an M1 Garand from The CMP store while I was at Perry.
The only .22LR ammo available after CCI sold out on Sunday 7/6 was the $700+/case stuff.

It is on my list of things to do but alas I didn't make it again this year.

Oh well maybe next year.

I did have a blast shooting my M1 in a 100 yard match on the 2nd of August. I only shot a 430 though.

One of the guys at Ollahoma City is trying to put together a Garand only LEG match.

I want to be ready for that.

We shoot a Garand match every Dec. down here in the Rio Grande Valley. Maybe you could come down and shoot with us. Of course you can shoot your Garand in any NRA High Power Match. It's all about just having fun and shooting safely anyway. Don't have to win to have fun.

I was registered and paid and had to back out. The 21st Century team did well though with a first and a second. One of our guys also took second in the individual on Saturday. Time to look towards the nationals at Ben Avery.

My dad's ashes are at the far West end of the range not far from parking lot and near one of the towers. He's former winner at Camp Perry and NRA Record holder.

I'd love to do the John C. Garand match at Camp Perry one of these years.

Is anyone else going to the SuperShoot this year? It's near end of May and a great show for anyone interested in reloading and precision shooting. It's worth the trip to see and buy the latest gadgets. I try to go and compete every year.

Made my debut to Perry in 2012...Bullseye shooter...great time and glad I made it. One less on the bucket list. Some great shooters there and I actually met Bill Blankenship that trip. He was given the honor to "fire" the cannon to open the range...he pulled the lanyard.

I went last year. I am registered For this year also. Looking forward to it.
I was on the first relay last year for the .45 match. The one minute warning sounded and when I turned to watch the flag, I realized that the cannon was pointing directly at me. Safe direction?

Its on he list mate - one day I hope to make it, though as a belly flopper (what we call Full Bore Target Shooting)not in any of the pistol matches - umm I think you guys call it National Highpower?
7.62 Single shot, peep sights 300 - 1000 yards off the elbows.

Met Brian Litz and few other notables when we had the World Long Range Championships in Brisbane.
