This is about 5 miles from my home. http://www.frontier-justice.com

Looks to be a nice spot. Not sure about the membership pricing. I'll have to check out the place first and see what all I'd get for the hefty price tag they want.

I saw the $7000 price tag first and questioned your definition of hefty, then I saw the annual price. Seems a little steep but hey you get a free t-shirt and range bag. My local indoor range isn't as nice. The annual fee for a couples membership is about $400. The range rental for a non-member is $15. It's not climate controlled. There are space heaters in the winter on each lane but no A/C just fans in the summer. I don't go often enough to justify the membership cost but my wife won't let us quit, it's too convenient.

See Ed, I'm thinking this place would be nice during the Winter months when my shooting slows way down. If I'm out when it's freezing it's either to shoot a song dog or late season bow hunting. My pistol shooting pretty much dries up from the end of Oct till March of the next year. So if I do cough up those types of fees, I'd have to make sure that I use it. Just trying to justify if the cost is worth this for pistol shooting. Then again, I do get access to a heated archery range too. Hmmm...

The deal I got was a charter couples membership. I pay an annual fee and we shoot for free. Because we joined as a charter couple our rate is locked for life as long as we renew every year. We get discounts on ammo, targets, and classes, but I never need any of those. Figure out how many months out of the year you will use the indoor facilities. Then figure out how many times you would have to go to break even on the membership fee versus paying $25 each visit. If you're like me you will be better off paying per visit. All my rifle shooting has to be done at the outdoor range at the gun club. That's another $275 annually. Someday we're moving out to acreage and I will have my own range right behind a shop/reloading building with a covered bench.

Looks like a good range.

They just opened this one here, in OKC. Haven't been there yet but would like to check it out.

Believe I would do as Ed recommended--just visit and pay the daily fee. If you really "love" the place then consider membership. That fee is quite a bit higher than my pay grade. Am a country boy shooter--tin cans, card board boxes w/targets stuck on with twigs, and occasionally even small rocks.

It would be nice to be able to support a place like that with such principles & values. Seems like a nice place to hang out during cold, winter days.

Here in the South we have a few indoor ranges but nothing like that. All the indoor ranges around here are expensive. I don't use them because they require you to use only ammo you purchase from them.

Only about 2 months is it too cold to comfortably shoot at my outdoor range. It's nice, but nothing like that! Concrete & covered with access to family pavilion & rest rooms. Berms are from 25 to 300 yards.

Let us know when you join!

More than I want to pay. Glad we don't have weather that keeps you from shooting outdoors the vast majority of the time.

Might be cheaper to just spend your winters in South Texas or Florida. We have about one week of winter down here.

They have nice one couple miles away. $10hr or $275yr. http://www.northwestshooter.com/
The troubles are no cast and they keep the brass. If not for that, it would be worth while.

Ditto.  I also take scrap pieces of 2x4 out in the desert behind the house 5 minutes away and shoot for free.  If it's too cold to shoot, them it's time to do some reloading.

The indoor range that I shoot at has a couples annual membership for $ 225.00 or $ 150.00 per individual. It is climate controlled and you can keep YOUR brass. They do not allow you picking up others brass. They do not allow cast, so I shot xtreme plated bullets. The range is less than 5 minutes from my place of work, so I frequent it often, some weeks three or four times per week. It is a really nice indoor range for pistols, but 25 yards is max distance, but they do allow up to 2900 fps, so if you wanta sight a rifle for 25 yards, unless it is a fast shooting magnum, it will work for that. They have a chronograph and will allow you to use it. A really nice range for the cost of membership.

Prices on all their firearms are freaking crazy stupid high. I could buy off gun broker at "buy it now" prices pay shipping and FFL fees and still come out way ahead than purchasing at Frontier Justice. Guess they need to pay that new building off quick. Indoor ranges are nice, their archery range was nice too. Surprising, their archery prices are right in line with most other shops around here. So it will be nice to have a closer archery shop. But damn...the price of the guns still has me in shock.
