Just got this email notification:

Hi All,

LaCrosse Rifle Club is holding it's first 200, 300 & 600 Yard 80rd Course Match since 2008. This match is Saturday May 30th. We are following it up with a 50rd Leg Match on Sunday May 31st. If interested, check out the program on the web site.

Want to enter, please e-mail me. Do not send payment at this time. If you have to cancel, e-mail me as soon as you know, even the morning of the match.

If it's been a while since you have been there, there is room at the range to camp or pitch a Cot in the nice Club House with Indoor Rest Rooms and fresh Running Water.

Please send this to anyone who you think may be interested.

I would love to shoot in both but it is a little further than I want to drive. My guess is 900 miles.

Hi, will this be shooting from a bench or some other position such as prone?

Is there a caliber size limit?

Thanks

BD

Big Dog these are Highpower rifle matches. They are shot standing sitting & prone. The standing is shot at 200 yards and you are allowed 1 minute per shot. The sitting is also shot at 200 yards and you must fire 10 shots in 60 seconds with a reload.

Prone rapid fire is shot at 300 yards and you are given 70 seconds to fire 10 shots with a reload.

Prone slow fire is shot at 600 yards and you get 1 minute per shot.

The excellence in competition match on sunday follows a similar format except that in the rapid fire strings you begin from a standing position and move into sitting or prone and no sighters are allowed.

Thank you, however my disability would limit my abilty to get down on the ground to shoot sitting and prone. I shoot 1000 yd 50 BMG Matches, but shoot that from the bench. I don't shoot our hunter class because of my inability to get up and down off the ground.

Sounds fun, I wish I could physically do this.
