You can't delete it ,we ( staff ) have to do that ,you can edit it out and write something like " double post " in it ,one of us will see it and take care of it
Fwiw ...happens sometimes, sometimes a unintended double tap on the enter button will do it,sometimes even refreshing the page ( especially if it's still loading ) will cause it and sometimes the blame is just some gremlins on the interweb causes it ( eg; no big worries ) the worst I've seen, and thankfully extremely rare, was 17 duplicate post ( aye yi yi lolz )

Sometimes posts are a bit slow to load. If you have hit reply, and it's not uploading, DON"T JUST HIT IT AGAIN!
Look to the top of the page if in Internet Explorer or Chrome (I can't speak to other browsers) if you see a small spinning "wheel" or spinning "arrow" the post is loading. If you hit reply again you will get a double post. The trick here is patience. Let it get about five yards closer before you pull the trigger again. I don't know about other mods and admins but I probably delete 6-8 double posts per day.
I think fry has the record though. The most indenticals of one post I deleted was 7. Ironically that was just yesterday.....RD

Yep I know about the "spinning wheel" lol I haven't double punched the send button, at least on purpose. ;) I've had some posts that indeed take a while to send but waited them out. This one in particular showed an error in posting initially, so I backed up and sent it again. Apparently it had gone thru so I'm not sure what the error message could have been. All's good tho, no biggie. ;)
