Hi all,
Have a query regarding quoting in posts.
Whenever I hit the quote function, when I set my cursor, it always goes inside the quotation mark, including my post as part of the quote from the post I was replying to.
Why does it do this?
Is this a problem with my laptop or the site?

Thanks.

If I understand what you are saying (always doubtful), quoting a whole message, that is the software.  When you hit quote, the part you are quoting shows in a box.  Place your cursor below the box and steam on.

If you want to quote the entire post, hit the quote button. If you want to quote a part of it, highlight and copy what you want to quote, hit the quotation marks in the top bar, and paste inside the quotation marks that will appear in the main field.

What they said plus I always open up a few lines before I hit the quote button or copy and paste so I have room to do what I want to.
