I did run into one little issue when I built my NYS compliant AR15 the last round hold open was not working. I looked a little more and saw the follower was not traveling all the way evenly.
So I popped it out and heres what I found

As you can see the back of the follower is hanging up on the mag body. it should look like this.

Looks like this mold line is causing the issue.

So I popped the the mag apart to look into the problem.

It was a quick and easy fix I reshaped the back of the follower with a jewlers file by taking all the mold lines off the back and reassemblied the mag and put it back in the rifle now the last round hold open work. Hope this help someone out if they are haven issues with their P Mag.

Thanks for the tip! Looks like an easy fix.

Magpul mags are usually pretty dependable. In fact, IIRC, at one point on another site, we collected $$$ and bought a box of Magpul 9mm Magazines and sent them to the sandbox for a member's son's squad because the fine sand was tieing up the followers in their US Gov't issued mags. RD

Hate to be possible bearer of bad news, there's tons of counterfeit Magpul mags and accessories out there. I wouldn't bet on that follower passing QC at Magpul.

I hadn't heard about counterfeit Magpul parts, until I ran across info on them. I would wonder, did those come from CO, before or during move to WY?

I have a fair amount of magpul furniture and none has disappointed.

To reduce plastic to plastic friction, try coating both surfaces with Armor-All. Really makes things SLIDE.

Good memory Rocky, I was thinking the same thing when I read the OP. Son is is home fine now; I'll be shooting with his father next month. Glad we could help out.

I have a PMag for my 260 that is an ACIS mag, it doesnt want to sit in the mag well tight enough or even sometimes high enough for the bolt to always catch a round. In my custom AR15 20practical, I have issues with feeding as well. For the AR I just switched back to metal mags, for the 260 I have to hold the bottom of the mag up to be sure to grab a round with the bolt.
