New reloader, very new, like just got my dies from the amazon truck last night new, but have been learning with my father for a while.

Found this site while looking for some spec info on Berry's PC lead 115gr RN, using Titegroup (both were gifted to me from my father to help me get going on my setup) only thing I had to buy was primers (and my press, scale etc.) making my first batch of 500 that I have yet to create cost only $.03/round, so win there.

I opted for a single stage setup (O Frame) as my end goal is accuracy beyond anything else so making hundreds of rounds a night is not my end game, as my master chief said during MAA A school "Two accurate rounds from a pistol that hit their mark will beat a machine gun that hits nothing any day."

Right now I'm weighing out and sorting the rounds and cases so that I can create the most accurate possible rounds with what I have discussed with my father so that I can set my log up to have specific grain loads for specific bullet weights (i.e. my Berry 115gr bullets vary from 113 to 118 so far.) always looking for more info and have a voracious appetite for hobbies like this.

Anyway enough about me, look forward to discussing, debating, and learning from everyone here.

Welcome.

sounds like dad is a good teacher and provider.

You mentioned large numbers of reloads. Suggestion, when starting out, for the first few sessions...only reload 10 rounds. then truck out to the range and test fire them. It is a hassle to pull 500 rounds because every thing just wasn't correct. Often times resized cases don't fit perfect until the dies are adjusted just right.

Enjoy the sport.

I just left SW Fla last month for the sunny north.

This I know, Especially since I don't have a bullet puller at this time, each has to be exacting in precision as to not lose precious (saying this like Gollum from Lord of the Ring) until I have a chance to get a puller.

I was thinking more like 5 round groups until I get a load close to where I'm liking it, or did you mean 10 rounds with incremented grain variance?

Welcome to the board. I agree with the self imposed limits. Until you find the LOAD, don't load 500 of anything! 10 is good, but definately no more than 50.
